Inside Account Manager

Our client is a solutions provider to Electrical Contractors outside the US. They serve the overseas US electrical system market and dedicate resources specifically to power distribution and lighting solutions.

We are currently recruiting an Inside Account Manager to serve as a Technical Specialist for the International Division in Charleson, SC. Successful applicants will exhibit high levels of commitment, outstanding work ethic, resourcefulness, willingness to give and receive feedback and a desire to continually learn.
The Electrical Technical Specialist is responsible for working with the International team to provide specification expertise and consulting on power distribution and lighting solutions related projects. The Electrical Technical Specialist may also have specific customer accounts and perform the responsibilities of an Inside Account Manager through various tasks including:
• providing application assistance to the foreign client in the selection and use of US electrical equipment
• assist consulting engineers (ie. Foreign Consultants, US Army Corps of Engineers, Base Civil Engineers, etc.) with equipment design and layout
• assist client with design/build projects
• take-off of both lighting and gear equipment with the ability to understand contract drawings and specification requirements
• review all vendor quotations to ensure accuracy according to contract documents
• assist foreign client with National Electrical Code questions

Keys to successfully meeting the goals of the Electrical Technical Specialist is the ability to demonstrate resourcefulness, a sense of urgency and providing solutions to problems for customers.

Design/Estimating Administrative Assistant

JOB SUMMARY: Responsibilities include accepting requests for quotes for the estimator and tracking the progress of such quotes, monitoring emails and answering where applicable.
The role carries the responsibility of working with purchasing, warehouse personnel, branch managers, field technicians and dispatch to ensure necessary functions related to the quotes are approved or disapproved as well as tracking materials that have been ordered for an approved job, work has been scheduled and permits are obtained and final inspections approved and documented.

QUALIFICATIONS: • Ideally possesses a relevant professional qualification and/or suitable background experience in the electrical contracting field
• Have a detailed understanding of the estimating process
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills for a customer focused working environment.
• Possess excellent personal organization and business administration skills in accordance with modern best practice methods.
• Possess the ability to work productively, efficiently & effectively with initiative and drive under tight timescales and pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
• Possess the willingness to learn, improve and adapt
• Possess relevant IT skills in basic MS Office applications - outlook, excel & word in particular and a working knowledge or business ERP systems.
• Must have the ability to deal with customers in a professional manner.

National Branch Service Manager (Lighting Company)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Locates subs who are part of the active sub network to service National work orders:
  • Assigns subs to work orders with scheduled dates
  • Emails the subcontractor dispatch paperwork, including T&C, if necessary

• Locates new subcontractors for work orders when existing subs in network cannot service.
• Receives onsite/completion/return trip calls from subcontractors.
• Handles on-site issues with service problems.
• Runs the return trip report and proceeds with next step needed for call completion
  • Requests quote from subcontractor via APT subcontractor quote form
  • Material needed:

• Reschedules work with subcontractors upon receiving quote approval:
  • Revises scope of work and PO amount and emails revised paperwork to sub
  • Updates WO with new scheduled date received from sub

• Reschedules work with subcontractors upon the receipt of supplied parts.
• Responsible for follow through on all emergency calls.
• Manages the following National Branch statuses:
  • Unacknowledged
  • Tech Declined
  • Return Trip
  • Hold
  • Waiting Parts
  • Parts Received
  • Quote Approved

• Follows up with appropriate department, as necessary for the following statuses:
  • Wait Disapproval
  • Parts Ordered

• On-call after-hours and weekends, in rotation. Based in Broward County

Project Manager (Multi-state Electrical GC)

The Project Manager is responsible for the company client coordination required throughout the project schedule. This position will organize and control the preparations and execution of contracts to meet company objectives of cost, quality, equipment conservation and safety. This position will manage a set of varying quantity and size projects based on their developing skill level and department project workload. Must possess excellent management skills in the areas of human relations, labor relations, labor law, problem solving, decision making, construction documents, documentation, construction planning estimating, scheduling, cost awareness, cost control, resource control, safety, quality control, and quality management.

Qualifications:
• Associates or Bachelors degree in construction management or similar curriculum.
• Electrical Lighting experience and three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education.
• Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, methods, etc.) as well as an understanding of company and industry practices, processes, and standards and their impact on project activities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft software (Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio and Power Point) estimating software, accounting, and project management software
• Professional verbal and written communication and presentation skills. Excellent organizational skills, detail oriented and ability to multi-task.
• Team player, ability to recognize how individual actions affect the team as a whole.
• Adept at speaking in public. Ability to work in fast paced environment, flexible and adaptable to changes to planned tasks or schedule

This position is responsible for planning, developing and buying materials, parts, supplies and equipment in a timely and cost effective manner while maintaining appropriate quality standards and specifications.
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: • Establish and implement procurement policies and procedures.
• Forecast procurement needs.
• Draft and submit budget proposals, and recommend subsequent budget changes as needed.
• Create and implement KPI’s.
• Track purchasing activity and measurements.
• Build and develop relationships with key suppliers and customers.
• Negotiate pricing, terms and conditions of sale and warranties of goods and products with key suppliers and vendors.

Our client is a vertically integrated design/build multi-state Certified Electrical Contractor specializing in all areas of design, installation and maintenance for the lighting, electrical and signage specialty fields.

Duties:

Energy Engineer

We have an immediate needs for Energy Engineers in Florida and South Carolina.

  • Identify and develop energy and utility cost reduction projects relating to lighting, HVAC systems, building controls / energy management systems and fixtures, building envelope, etc.
  • Perform feasibility studies of renewable and energy conservation technologies
  • Perform calculations of annual energy/cost savings for identified energy projects. Develop budget quality project cost estimates. Perform life cycle cost analysis.
  • Prepare technical reports and presentations. Present findings of audits / studies to client.
  • Assist the sales and project development teams in energy projects development after completion of the energy audit / feasibility study development.
  • Provide technical, communication and leadership skills necessary to effectively present findings and corrective actions to the client.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, often under aggressive deadlines.
  • Ensure customer/client satisfaction for tasks performed.
  • Foster effective and positive business relationships with all parties throughout project phases.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with contractors and field personnel to develop additional business for the group.
  • Cultivate new client relationships and accounts.
Here is a look at the requirements for this position:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or comparable training.
  • Preferred qualification include: LEED AP certification; CEM from Association of Energy Engineers, ASHRAE.
  • 5 years experience in the following areas:
    • energy planning and technical feasibility study experience including development of project cost estimates, annual energy/cost savings calculations, and life cycle cost analysis.
    • Experience with operation and/or design and/or construction of HVAC systems, electrical systems and building controls / energy management systems.
    • Knowledge of energy-efficiency technologies including lighting systems, building envelope upgrades, HVAC automation and UV Filtration.
    • Must be proficient in Excel, Word, & PowerPoint and have a working knowledge of MS Project, Visio, and AutoCAD.
    • Ability to travel up to 20%.
    • Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and business relationships.
